A newly empty-nested couple was in need of a kitchen that could finally keep pace with their lifestyle... one built for entertaining and everyday ease, worthy of the backyard oasis just beyond the door.

The existing kitchen was simply too small. Rather than patch the problem, the floor plan was reimagined entirely. The living room was removed and combined with the fireplace-anchored family room, allowing the kitchen to expand into the former formal dining space. The dining room, in turn, migrated into the original living room footprint. The result: a kitchen that nearly tripled in square footage.

A few windows were sacrificed to accommodate the new range wall, the commanding focal point that grounds the entire space and anchors the design with purpose. A large island, intentionally free of plumbing and countertop appliances, centers the room and preserves the clean, unencumbered aesthetic. An elegant porcelain countertop, engineered to emulate the look of real marble, makes a striking visual statement while offering the low-maintenance practicality these clients needed.

Storage was maximized throughout. An appliance garage keeps everyday countertop appliances accessible but out of sight. Custom glass-front cabinetry with a soft built-in glow puts treasured china and stemware on quiet display, functional storage elevated to a design detail.
Every finish was selected with enduring elegance in mind, chosen not in isolation but as part of a larger whole.
