Recently, I had the joy of traveling to Chicago to tour the newly updated World of Whirlpool showroom, featuring the luxury line JennAir. Walking through the space was nothing short of inspiring. I got to test appliances, peek behind the scenes of their technology, and even sample a few treats along the way. Here are a few highlights that have me excited for upcoming kitchen remodel projects.

One of the most impressive discoveries was just how powerful and efficient induction cooking is compared to gas or electric.
- Induction cooktops maintain up to 90% efficiency, while gas ranges lose about 40 to 50 percent of energy. Faster cooking, less wasted heat, and more sustainability… yes, please!
- JennAir’s induction technology has clever Power Boosts that let one element borrow power from another, perfect for home chefs who need quick, high-powered cooking.
- Their induction downdraft cooktops also stole my heart, offering 345 CFM (super powerful!) recirculating ventilation that clears the air beautifully, all without the need for bulky overhead hoods.
For open-concept kitchens or spaces where venting is a challenge, these options are sleek, efficient, and design-friendly.
Thoughtful Details I Absolutely LOVED!
It was clear that JennAir is not only about performance, but also about the small details that make everyday living easier.
- Their gas downdraft system (297 CFM) is a win for those who love gas but still want integrated ventilation.
- The griddle had me smiling… it cleans by heating to 300 degrees so all you do is wipe it down. Simple, practical, and entertaining-ready.
- And yes, they had us swooning with a live demo making Bananas Foster on the griddle… a sweet reminder of how appliances can bring fun and flair into the kitchen.
Coffee… Elevated
Now I’m not a coffee lover… but as a good wife, I do brew my husbands coffee- grinding the beans and all! With David in mind, I was captivated by JennAir’s G L O R I O U S built-in coffee system!! It’s the perfect blend of design and daily ritual.
- A 13-setting burr grinder ensures your coffee is tailored exactly to your taste.
- Temperature and pressure controls create the perfect brew, every time.
- Best of all, it only requires an outlet, no plumbing needed… making it so much easier to integrate into remodel projects.
- With descaling needed only every 200 cups, maintenance feels incredibly manageable.
I could immediately picture clients starting their mornings with café-quality coffee right at home…in their kitchen, bedroom or even bathrooms… which feels like a little luxury that goes a long way.

Being in the showroom was more than seeing specs on a page… it was about touching, feeling, testing, and envisioning how these innovations fit into real homes, and that was my absolute favorite part! Experiences like this give me the confidence to recommend products not only for their beautiful design, but also for their proven performance and thoughtful engineering. To top it all off, JennAir treated us to Chicago’s iconic River Architectural Tour, the perfect way to celebrate design and architecture on every scale. I left Chicago brimming with inspiration… and I can’t wait to bring that excitement into my clients’ kitchens!
